SuperHeavy is a rock supergroup consisting of Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, Damian Marley, and A. R. Rahman. SuperHeavy was Stewart's idea, inspired by the sounds washing into his home in St Ann's Bay, Jamaica. He first enlisted Mick Jagger and they started brainstorming before bringing the others on board. For 18 months, the band worked together in secret before finally announcing their formation in May 2011.

Jagger has said of the band, ''We wanted a convergence of different musical styles... We were always overlapping styles, but they were nevertheless separate''.
