A teenage student has been seriously injured in a stabbing at a high school in Narellan Vale in Sydney's south west.

Paramedics were called to the Elizabeth Macarthur High School just before 9 this morning.

A 15-year-old boy was taken to Liverpool Hospital's trauma unit after being stabbed in the groin, a NSW Ambulance Service spokeswoman told ninemsn.

The boy is in a stable condition, she said.

Oh yeah that basically sounds like I want to be at someones house, but i didn't really mean it like that. I just want to avoid the country folk who come to the city for their big night of the year. Being in the city anywhere is so horrible on new years

Yeah I know what you mean.. I don't want to be faced with large crowds or anything like that. But a few friends and I all happen to be there at the same time and I'm just not sure what we should do.. I just want something in a comfortable environment where I can happily pass out if need be etc .. guess I may call on some people who actually live there and see whats happening
