They aren’t getting married and taking out a mortgage, but Canberra group Young and Restless have found a new home. The five-piece, a 2006 winner of Triple J’s Unearthed competition, have signed with Dot Dash, making them labelmates to the likes of Wolf & Cub, New Buffalo and Ned Collette. Their debut album was recorded in the suburban Melbourne shed of Shihad drummer Tom Larkin and will be released in July, with the band touring nationally in June with support from New Zealand’s Cut Off Your Hands.
