The End Of The Valentinos

Having previously laughed off reports of legal ramification over a name clash, Sydney electro-rock outfit The Valentinos have bowed to pressure – from 50s American soul artist Bobby Womack and the Valentinos – to change their name. The outfit, who’ve been touring steadily over the last two years while also releasing two EPs that have received multiple pressings, have elected to change their moniker now, before the release in July of the first single from their forthcoming debut album, which is being produced by Ewan Pearson (The Rapture). While they haven’t settled on a new handle, the group, who recently parted ways with drummer Daniel Stricker, will play two farewell shows as The Valentinos.
