Highly-rated Perth outfit Institut Polaire have inked a deal with Sydney-based label Popfrenzy, becoming that company’s first local signing. With a line-up that can number anywhere from seven to nine members, Insitut Polaire’s spacious sound takes in 60s pop, psychedelia and noise aggregations. The first indication of their merit will be a self-titled EP in June, with their debut album – The Fauna & Flora Are Too Closely Allied – to follow.
