His debut album, King Hokum, may be set in a fictional town where there isn’t “nothing but bad luck and trouble”, but good fortune and growing acceptance appears to be the norm for Mississippi blues revivalist C.W. Stoneking. Not all have twigged to the earthy innuendo of his material, but you can experience it live on his forthcoming national tour.
