Key notes: Long-awaited follow-up to 2008’s “fucking awesome” Romance and Adventure for the Melbourne quartet of Mikey Young (guitar, keyboard), Leon Stackpole (vocals, guitar, keyboard), Richard Stanley (bass) and Per Bystrom (drums, percussion). Follows a very brief 2009 name change and a recording session in a Preston shed that got shut down by police after one song (‘Ecstasy’). Recording finished over two days last July at Three Phase in Brunswick. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Mikey Young. Distributed in the US through Easter Bilby. Artwork by Bystrom’s aunt, Barbro Lindblom. Stream three tracks below, including the funky eight-minute fever dream ‘Sex in the Chillzone’. Catch the band live in Melbourne on Saturday, February 23 at the Great Britain Hotel (Richmond) with Lower Plenty and on Saturday, March 23 (2pm) at The Shadow Electric Bar & Cinema (Abbotsford Convent( with Woollen Kits and Justin Fuller (ZOND).
