Applecore Stays Put, Announces 2013 Edition
News posted Friday, January 4 2013 at 02:00 PM.
Applecore, Melbourne’s long-running DIY festival, have announced that the festival will again be held in the Thornbury backyard of its birth. Event organisers had intended to find a new home for the festival after 2012, citing the need to give long-suffering neighbours a break and a desire to (modestly) expand the festival as key reasons. However, time to secure a new venue has run out, and Applecore is staying put for one more year.
Organisers have also announced that the 2013 edition will be taking place on Saturday February 23, National SLAM Day. No further details are available just yet, but line-up and ticketing information will appear on Applecore’s facebook page as it comes to hand. Highlights from previous years have included Screamfeeder, Primitive Calculators and Graveyard Train.
