M+N Summer Mixtape #3: HTRK

News posted Wednesday, February 8 2012 at 02:00 PM.
Related: Mixtape, HTRK.

Need something to soundtrack your next BBQ, pool party, trip up the coast or po-mo hipster gathering? M+N has you covered with our inaugural mixtape series, which will run over summer (and perhaps beyond) via Soundcloud. Following “tapes” by Donny Benét and Crumbs comes HTRK’s “summer chill” mix which has been specially prepared for “smoking rollies, modern architecture and no worries”.

HTRK are currently taking some time off following a busy 2011 back in Australia writing the follow-up to their second album, the M+N Critics Poll-topping Work (work, work). It’s out now through Mistletone.

I'd love to see some local labels put together these mixes featuring stuff from their catalogues, especially lesser publicised labels. Be great to see their wares get an airing and I'm sure it'd turn up lots of interesting/worthy listening.
