Is Ladyhawke (aka New Zealand-born singer Pip Brown) about to unleash a concept album? Reflective new single 'Black White & Blue' seems to suggest so, with lines such as, “Life inside your head has come undone/Your slow descent to madness has just begun”, fitting in nicely with the title of her second album, Anxiety. The follow-up to her self-titled 2008 debut, it’ll be out locally through Modular on March 16. Anxiety was written and produced by Ladyhawke, alongside long-time collaborator Pascal Gabriel. I dont get any concept album from this single.
I would love a concept album from LH - could be ace! Buuuuut, this is kinda boring.
More importantly, she has moths in her hair. I would totally be freaking out if I was her. Or drawn in pencil.
