better than expected.

happycow  said about 1 year ago:

That's the most pitchfork lineup I've ever seen. Still, a lot of quality there. Les Savy Fav, Holy Fuck, PVT, Beach House. Might. Be the first laneway I attend.

still more to come isn't there?

josejones  said about 1 year ago:

there were only about 3-6 more acts announced in round two last year, depending on the city.

mrmagoo  said about 1 year ago:

thought i read something about 28 bands to be announced, 20 of them being international?

Really unimaginative lineup, but really fun.

JunkiePhil  said about 1 year ago:

possibility of a Holy Fuck side show?
only thing I wanna see on that bill

blake3030  said about 1 year ago:

Go to this or just the deerhunter, beach house, ariel pink sideshows? Hmmmm.

Spelling is incorrect on wayfarer, by the way.

JunkiePhil  said about 1 year ago:

Just picked up that Mistletone are bringing a few a these out and they always do side shows so....

josejones  said about 1 year ago:

no it's not ;)

shaun  said about 1 year ago:

Damn, I thought you were referring to a brand of ray ban sunglasses. Cause like, you need the sunglasses to look at the hot line-up?

blake3030  said about 1 year ago:

You fixed it!

Beach House/Menomena/Warpaint clash is the only one that's likely to trouble me much. But it's a bit of a doozy.

mrmagoo  said about 1 year ago:

bought tickets for Beach House and Menomena aaaages just in case of clashes, but they are playing at the same time! so that plan was stupid

decided on getting a couple of Holy Fuck tickets to the HiFi, good supports

you sound like you have a lot of money to splash around.

team ham sandwich  said about 1 year ago:

I dont think i will leave the river stage except for beach house.

Wonder how much the promoters paid to make sure that happened?

PondRepellent  said about 1 year ago:

...which is fine of course, prob what i would be doing if i was loaded.

untold/animals  said about 1 year ago:

Yeah, well. I'd love to see Beach House again, particularly after Teen Dream, but given the departure of a Menomena founding member and the fact that I've seen Beach House before, I'll probably just go see Warpaint.

By far the worst clash but with a little bit of leeway with time. I'm gonna attempt to see half of Beach House then half of one of the others

BlackCatWhiteCat  said about 1 year ago:

ariel pink, les savy fav is a shocker clash for me.

whatwhat  said about 1 year ago:

Clashes galore. Is balls!

anok  said about 1 year ago:

only clash that really bugs me a tiny bit is cut copy & !!!. guess i'll go beach house>blonde redhead>ariel pink>deerhunter>cut copy. cruisy. heavyweight buzzbands! fairly ambivalent about deerhunter so maybe AiH djs could be a better alternative. would like to catch WEP early in the day too! pretty excited about a festival for a change.

asbestos  said about 1 year ago:

Some clashes, but I made my final choices based more the stages I like. Hate the main stage, so the 2nd half of the day I'll be settling at the river stage for Warpaint>Local Natives>Ariel Pink>Deerhunter (but then go !!!). The clash between Ariel Pink vs Yeasayer irked me, so I got Yeasayer sideshow tix.

funtimes  said about 1 year ago:

Blonde redhead - Le Savvy - holy fuck - !!! - I don't think I'll be moving from that stage

Loungey  said about 1 year ago:

There are HEAPS of Melbourne clashes for me. Deerhunter, Foals and Holy Fuck ALL on at the same time. BOOOO.

Yeasayer and Ariel Pink too. meh.

untold/animals  said about 1 year ago:

Yeah, the River Stage was great last year and the Main Stage got shitty after about 3pm; ridiculously epic and kind of annoying.

steveholt  said about 1 year ago:

You chumps should hit up Adelaide. Closest thing to a clash all day is the 5 minute gap between Deerhunter & Les Savy Fav.

LeRayonVert  said about 1 year ago:

I agree, the Adelaide schedule is looking good. I just hope they set it up so there's a clear path to get between Fowlers and the new stage rather than the usual bottleneck through the middle of the courtyard stage crowd.

gabbo  said about 1 year ago:

the Deerhunter / Foals clash is worst for me. All the rest are significantly annoying.

Will never miss LSF, despite having tix to their sideshow, and seeing them 3 times before.

steveholt  said about 1 year ago:

Yep most keen for LSF. Will barge through the crowd if I have to - no prisoners!

illywhacker  said about 1 year ago:

These clashes are bullshit.
