Philly Jays Announce 26-Date Tour

Philadelphia Grand Jury must’ve really missed Australia. Despite relocating to London, the Sydney trio will return home for a run of 26 shows, beginning at the Republic Bar in Hobart on November 4 and winding up at the Pyramid Rock Festival in Phillip Island, Victoria, on New Year’s Eve.

The band have spent the past six months living and recording in London; setting up a studio in South London called Safety Sound; criss-crossing the US no less than three times; playing over 50 dates in the UK; touring South Africa; and even ducking back to Australia to play the main stage at Splendour in the Grass.

They return home bearing gifts: a newly recorded 7” single, ‘Save our Town’, which is backed by a punk cover of Jay-Z’s ‘99 Problems’ (out September 17); and a deluxe, retitled edition of their debut LP called Hope Is For The Hopeless, complete with previously unheard bonus tracks and B-sides from previous singles. It’ll be out on October 1 through Shock/Boomtown.

Supports for most shows by Howl and Bearhug, who have just come off a tour with Broken Social Scene. Tickets on sale now.
