Key notes: Second album for Melbourne instru-metal four-piece: Brent Stegeman (guitar, synths, electronics, programming), Damian Coward: (drums, electronics), Laura Bradfeld (bass), Ian Jackson (guitar). Features The Night Terrors’ Miles Brown on theremin, synths and electronics. Follow-up to last year’s Alchera, which we described as “near flawless”. Produced by Stegeman and Coward, and recorded and mixed by Neil Tomason at Head Gap studios in Melbourne in June-July.
From the presser: “Fowl displays a deliberate shift towards a broader sonic palette, enabling the band to incorporate disparate influences and approaches to create a sound that is uniquely their own.”
