Seagull Support Bearhug, Bearhug Support Seagull

Melbourne’s Seagull and Sydney’s Bearhug will join forces for a pair of launch shows in August, which will diplomatically pass the headlining slot to the hometown band.

With a knack for “colourful song titles that abstractly evoke a sense of their music” new Spunk signees Bearhug will be touting the wares from the EP, To Anything.

While Seagull’s second album, Council Tree, sees Chris Bolton offering more dark, beguiling stuff with assistance from Kid Sam’s Kishore Ryan on percussion, Edward Bolton on bass and “instrumental subtleties” from Michael Zullicki.

Just saw/heard Bearhug for the first time tonight in Brisbane. Listening to the new EP. Man I love the mid-90's. These guys are great.
