Blasko Releases Live Disc

To celebrate her forthcoming tour this October, Sarah Blasko is re-releasing her ARIA Award-winning third album As Day Follows Night with a limited-edition live bonus disc.

The disc features 15 songs recorded live at The Forum Theatre in Melbourne last year, including tracks from As Day Follows Night and her previous two albums: The Overture & the Underscore and What the Sea Wants, the Sea Will Have. Here’s a snippet of our gig review, which took issue with her choice of setlist (she decided to play As Day Follows Night in full), but revelled in her costume changes:

If this uneven show suggested one thing it’s that it’s impossible to fault Blasko’s ability and ambition – even if she occasionally doesn't hit the mark. Here’s hoping she takes heed of her own caustic assessment in 'Is My Baby Yours?' the next time she considers her set list: “You cant make somebody love you/While they're still missing someone.”

The tour edition live CD is now available in stores and digitally through Dew Process. The live album can be purchased as a stand-alone item digitally via iTunes.
