It’s hard to believe, but after more than 10 years and three records, Melbourne’s Black Cab will play their first show in Brisbane next month.
The Australian Music Prize-nominated outfit – helmed by Andrew Coates and James Lee, and featuring Richard Andrew (Underground Lovers), Anthony Paine (High Pass Filter), Steve Law (Zen Paradox) and Alex Jarvis (Gaslight Radio, Automatic) – will play at Brisbane’s The Hi-Fi with Grand Atlantic on July 17. The show is part of the band’s first east-coast tour, which also includes stops in Melbourne (at The East Brunswick Club on July 15) and Sydney (at the Oxford Art Factory on July 16).
Presented by M+N, the tour is in support of new single 'International Son'/'Sexy Polizei', which is due out in mid-June. A new album, the follow-up to last year’s acclaimed Call Signs, is expected later this year.
