More Launch Dates For Fabulous Diamonds

Melbourne’s Fabulous Diamonds have expanded their upcoming tour in support of new album, Fabulous Diamonds II.

In addition to shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth, the duo – Nisa Venerosa and Jarrod Zlatic – will perform in Adelaide (at the Metro on August 7) and Brisbane (at the Cubby Hole on September 3).

The band have also announced some all-star supports for the tour. They include Geoffrey O'Connor and Bum Creek in Melbourne; Naked on the Vague and Southern Comfort in Sydney; Melted Desert Trio and Desperate House in Perth; and Slug Guts, Blank Realm and The Deadnotes in Brisbane. Adelaide supports will be announced soon.

Spanning five untitled tracks, two of which extend past the 10-minute mark, Fabulous Diamonds II was recorded by Eddy Current Suppresion Ring’s Mikey Young and mastered by Qua’s Cornel Wilczek. It’ll be out on June 19 on Chapter Music with a vinyl release to follow on US label Siltbreeze (Naked On The Vague, Times New Viking, Psychedelic Horseshit).

DANG. Woulda been nice if they played a bit more from the actual album they were launching, but it was still a great set. Nisa really makes that band.

Also, Bum Creek were fucking funny. The Time Rap at the end made me do a spit-take.

anok  said about 1 year ago:

enjoyed the newness. also some of those songs have been in the live set for ages. they'd probably have another record's worth ready to go.
