New Weird Australia has a new compilation out, but this one’s gonna cost ya. Don’t worry, it’s for a good cause: Sydney radio station FBi, which was so desperate for funds last year it asked listeners to think up creative ways to woo Sir Richard Branson.
Recorded at a benefit gig at Red Rattler in November, Unpopular Music 2009 features seven exclusive tracks by acts including Scissor Lock, Anna Chase, Nick Wishart (Toydeath), kyü, Anon and Pimmon. It also includes the first track to be released from Mandala Trap, a new collaborative project between Paul Gough (Pimmon) and Jeff Burch, solo artist and one quarter of Sydney band, Songs.
The album is available as a digital download for $10 direct from the New Weird Australia website. All artists have donated their tracks for use in this album, with 100 percent of all sales going directly to FBi.

There you go, made some titles for you. When you download it from Bandcamp, you can change the title field in the mp3s. I think it's appropriate that Anon's track remains untitled.`
anonymous' hair looks a bit flat there.
