Dappled Cities will hit the road in June to remind us that not only do they appear on cooking shows and enter "Bachelor of the Year" competitions, but they also play shows.

The band have recently returned home from a five-month tour of Europe, Asia and the US, where they performed at the South By Southwest industry shindig in Austin for the second consecutive year. Their upcoming “Winter Tour”, which kicks off at Newcastle’s Cambridge Hotel on June 3, will be their last on Australian soil for the remainder of 2010. Shortly after its conclusion, the band will head to Europe for more festival appearances, and later Los Angeles to complete work on the follow-up to last year’s acclaimed LP Zounds.

Audiences can expect to hear songs from all three albums, as well as new material. A number of shows will also be filmed for release as a live DVD later this year.

Brisbane’s John Steel Singers will join Dappled on all dates, with Melbourne’s Otouto and Adelaide’s Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! supporting selected shows.
