So you’re a restless band of jetsetters and nicotine addicts with two great albums to your name – 2007’s Tara and last year’s Why We Cant Be Together. You’ve lived in Wellington, Melbourne and London, and toured the US and Europe extensively. So when it comes time to settle down, to leave behind the “wild times and happy accidents in foreign lands”, where better to hang up your travelling boots than in Adelaide?
To celebrate their relocation to the City of Churches (and Sarah McLeod), Batrider will hit the road for their first national tour in ages. Taking in all major cities, The “Batrider Beaks Tour” coincides with the release of a limited-edition live recording made while the band was in the US. The recording reflects Batrider’s current three-piece incarnation: Sarah Mary Chadwick (vocals/guitar), Steph Crase (drums) and Sam Featherstone (bass).
For those who prefer a "crisp" studio sound, Why We Can't Be Together is out now on Low Transit Industries via Shock.
