Dappled’s Dave In Line For Bachelor Of The Year

The media’s fascination with Sydney’s Dappled Cities has taken a strange new twist. Following a stint on the Disney Channel and a fry-up on Ready Steady Cook, singer “Diamond” Dave Rennick has been nominated for Cleo’s Bachelor of the Year.
Looking comparatively waiflike against the mostly buff contestants, Rennick is one of a handful of musicians nominated for the annual publically voted award. Other nominees include Royce Akers from Melbourne outfit Hot Little Hands, Sydney singer Andy Bull, Channel V’s Kyle Linahan, Daimon Downey of Sneaky Sound System, silverchair’s Daniel Johns and Andy Clemmensen from tween heartthrobs Short Stack.
Asked why he’s still a bachelor, Rennick, 27, said it’s because he still has a “thing” for two-door coupes with a sunroof. It may also have something to do with his band’s penchant for tight fitting, gold-painted jumpsuits?
