Brisbane collective The Gin Club are finally starting to take their name seriously.
The band recently bribed us with sent us a mini bar-sized bottle of Beefeater to spruik their new 7” single, the strictly limited edition ‘Rain’. Lifted off their forthcoming new album, the track is only available at gigs and via the Plus One Records website. It features B-side ‘Calling Me Home’, an exclusive non-album track with Mick Thomas from Weddings Parties Anything on vocals.
In other booze-related news, the band will be playing at an afternoon of gin appreciation and croquet (we’re not making this up) at Brisbane’s The Lark on Saturday (March 13). Supports by Beefeater, Bombay Sapphire, Hendricks, Plymouth and Tanqueray Gin. Cost: $35 including gin tastings, complimentary gin cocktail, food and entertainment. RSVP essential: functions@thelark.com.au.

CHANGE OF VENUE DUE TO RAIN
Due to the overwhelming response and RSVPs we have received for the event this Saturday 13th March from 1pm-7pm , we wanted to ensure we can still enjoy an afternoon of Croquet, Gin Appreciation, and the awesome sounds of one of Australia's premier bands 'The Gin Club' regardless of the weather! the Dam's are overflowing, everything's green, surely that's enough rain!
The new site for the event is
RNA SHOWGROUNDS, THE AVENUES ROOM NO.9 ON ALEXANDRIA ST (ACCESS VIA ST PAULS TERRACE)
(small amount of on street parking is available or the RNA has paid parking all day for $10, Sorry this is a 'no' children event)
No they in QLD, silly.
Yeah I thought you were a Melbourne person!
Ordered a copy of the 7'' this morning. I sure hope I get some booze in the mail too.
