Crayon Fields Announce Maiden US Tour

It’s only taken two acclaimed albums, but Crayon Fields will finally jet over the Atlantic for their maiden US tour.

The Melbourne quartet will play three Aussie BBQ events (in Los Angeles, New York and Austin), as well as an official South by Southwest showcase at Mi Casa Cantina in downtown Austin on March 20. They will also perform in Williamsburg, New York, with Richard Davies, Kath Bloom and label boss Guy Blackman on March 23; at the Sycamore in Brooklyn on March 25; at Pianos in Manhattan with Yawn on March 26; and at Echo Curio in Los Angeles, also with Blackman, on March 28. Full dates below.

Before they head off to the US, however, the band have been invited to take part in Last Day Of Summer, a free daytime outdoor show at the National Gallery Of Victoria on February 28. They will also make their Golden Plains debut on March 6.

Upon their return from the US in April, Crayon Fields will hit the road with neo-folk outfit Mountain Goats.

i didn't know crayon fields were based in portugal, are they? otherwise if they're still based in melbourne, perhaps the author should be told that australia is actually based on the other side of the pacific. just south of south east asia.

ok, with that out of the way. good luck to the guys on their travels. good band.
