ECSR Announce National Tour

Eddy Current Suppresion Ring will embark on their first national tour in yonks next month. Held in support of their imminent third album Rush To Relax (read about its genesis here), the tour will take in shows in Perth, Hobart, Brisbane and Melbourne, a performance at the Margret River Masters Festival in WA and a double header at The Annandale in Sydney. Full dates below.

The band recently performed two memorable shows at the St Jerome’s Laneway Festival: an afternoon slot in Melbourne that saw singer Brendan Suppression scale a fence and another in Sydney which we missed in favour of, er, Florence & The Machine.

MelonHCST  said about 2 years ago:

Despite superior supports in Melbourne, 2 shows at the Annandale > 1 at the Palace

anonymous  said about 2 years ago:

BED WETTIN BAD BOYS~!

anonymous  said about 2 years ago:

tangy_zizzle  said about 2 years ago:

The Palace eh? Will make a change to have an Eddy Current show in Melbourne that doesn't sell out. Actually, I guess they technically could sell out The Palace...

anonymous  said about 2 years ago:

i hope they do sell it out (well not really, but part of me does)

billybarwang  said about 2 years ago:

BARGAIN!

Duceman  said about 2 years ago:

Uhm, at this stage the Margaret River Masters festival isn't even going ahead - it hasn't been passed by the Margaret River council, and it looks like it probably won't be. Don't entirely know how ECSR are gonna play that one.

Lilo  said about 2 years ago:

Wow, Hobart! This will be radtacular.

basil seal  said about 2 years ago:

i said it when i was there. i'll say it again.

Hobart > Canberra.

so i'll do what i always do, catch the murray's bus to central and hit the annandale.

Lilo  said about 2 years ago:

Catch the Murray's bus to, like, the airport and hit the Brisbane. You know you wanna!

whatwhat  said about 2 years ago:

so... saw this band for the first time in about three, four years at adelaide's laneway y'day.

absolutely brilliant. wished they'd played ''gentleman'' from the new record tho.

Tempting!

Tim_Marben  said about 2 years ago:

Jay Reatard aways did massive tours, why can't Goner send ECSR my way? :'(

Tim_Marben  said about 2 years ago:

*always, obviously.

rigid  said about 2 years ago:

goner don't have anything to do with booking eddy current's tours. they all work jobs and like laid back, relaxed tours. not interested in playing every night for weeks on end.

MelonHCST  said about 2 years ago:

When are they gonna play a hometown show? I wanna see Eddy Cuzza at Pelly Bar!

teganjean  said about 1 year ago:

Adelaide show has been added - Thurs 25 March at Jive Bar

Spidey  said about 1 year ago:

Three sleeps. I cannae wait.

Spidey  said about 1 year ago:

Is this sold out in Melbs? Im tempted to swing over.

whatwhat  said about 1 year ago:

adelaide show in shock pre-sale sell-out.

bet the buggers cancel.

dogsvscats  said about 1 year ago:

i seem to be the only person in adelaide not surprised that it's sold out :)

whatwhat  said about 1 year ago:

it's a shock when ANYTHING sells out in adelaide.

both show's tonight - pixies and ecsr - sold out on pre-sales alone.

LeRayonVert  said about 1 year ago:

I agree, two shows selling out in one night is pretty good for Adelaide. So is in anyone else hoping to fit both in? I am going to have a very fast bike ride from Thebby to Jive some time around 11pm tonight!

dogsvscats  said about 1 year ago:

oh believe me i know, i used to sell the damn things. but i kinda always thought it would sell out

whatwhat  said about 1 year ago:

nope, as alas i didn't get ticket to pixies - wasn't expecting it to sell out so fast!

LeRayonVert  said about 1 year ago:

I'm useless at predicting what will be popular so I just buy a ticket as soon as possible if it's something I'm going to go to. Also too many shows in Adelaide get cancelled when people don't buy tickets so I guess it helps to buy early.

anonymous  said about 1 year ago:

tonight-ah!

CryMeARiver  said about 1 year ago:

PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE NO TICKET COLLECTIONS FROM THE VENUE ON SHOW NIGHT - ALL TICKETS ARE TO BE COLLECTED PRIOR FROM THE TICKETING COMPANY OUTLETS AS PER INFO PROVIDED BY THEM. THE PALACE IS NOT A TICKETING OUTLET.

From the Melbourne Palace website.

I was pretty sure that my confirmation email said pickup from the venue, anyone with Melbourne tickets confirm/ deny that?

Inactivist  said about 1 year ago:

Fool's errand... spare Sydders ticket?

CryMeARiver  said about 1 year ago:

Just in case anyone was interested in my previous query:

  1. Tickets WILL NOT be sent/issued. Ticket purchaser's name will be on Love Police door list at venue box office. To gain entry you must show the credit card used to purchase ticket(s) and current photo ID** as the credit card holder. (**See 1.a. for acceptable photo ID)
If more than one ticket was purchased, all members of your party must be present to gain entry to venue.

A tad confusing but nevertheless i'm sure it'll work out.
