Drones Announce ‘Intimate’ Shows

You’d forgive The Drones for taking a very long breather after their performance on Monday at The Tote’s last drinks. With Joel Silbersher on vocals, the band tore through an “utterly faithful” rendition of GOD’s ‘My Pal’ to see the iconic Melbourne venue off in style. It was incredible. People wept into their pots. People hugged strangers. People blogged about it. And people (non-violently) lost their shit.
Before heading back into the studio to begin work on the follow-up to their ARIA-nominated Havilah, The Drones will play intimate double headers in Melbourne and Sydney: February 20 and 21 at Melbourne’s East Brunswick Club and March 4 and 5 at The Annandale Hotel in Sydney. As an added incentive to Melbourne fans, the East Brunswick Club shows will be filmed for a forthcoming live DVD.
Tickets available from the venues with special guests announced soon.
