Hiroshima On Hiatus

Over the past four years, power trio I Heart Hiroshima have released two albums, three EPs and played more than 260 shows in 13 countries. So can you blame them for taking a lengthy break?
With drummer Susie Patten relocating to Berlin ala Grand Salvo/Ned Collette/Sparkadia, the band will play a farewell all-ages show in their native Brisbane before going on an indefinite hiatus. But it won’t be an ordinary gig. The show at Brisbane’s Powerhouse on January 24 will feature two one-hour sets covering both albums: 2007’s Tuff Teef and last year’s The Rip.
“We've accomplished a lot and we are really proud of the things we have achieved and we want to show you who are right now, from start to finish. So we are going to play all of our released material in order, kind of like a retrospective I guess,” said the band in a press release.
Supports by Melbourne’s Dick Diver and local boys Bigstrongbrute. Tickets via Powerhouse Powertix.
