Youth broadcaster triple j have confirmed the double exodus of presenters Marieke Hardy and Scott Dooley. The pair were among several changes announced by the station today.
After two years as co-host of Breakfast with Robbie Buck and Lindsay “The Doctor” McDougall, Hardy will hang up her headphones to focus on her writing career. She is currently working on a new six-part series with ABC1 and the Andrew Denton-created :30 Seconds, which focuses on the advertising industry.
“I feel I've laid the foundations for a long and fruitful relationship with my dear friends at triple j,” said Hardy in a statement. “I look forward to lurking around the corridors and refusing to leave in a dignified fashion, just like John 'The Last Goodbye' Farnham.”
Meanwhile, Dooley has decided to move on from triple j after two years as host of Drive. He joined the station as a work experience kid, but quickly rose through the ranks, hosting Weekend Breakfast before being promoted to Drive. He will be replaced by McDougall, following the reconfiguration of triple j’s breakfast team with upstarts Tom Ballard and Alex Dyson confirmed as hosts last month.

Anyone know why? I thought it was all going reasonably well.
Robbie Buck is leaving anyway, and melbourne rules.
Who cares? Announcers are redundant. Just play back to back songs with nothing more than track names, and we'll be happier.

well put.
I look forward to having Marieke back here FOR GOOD.
