I'm excited!

I'm not too sure how I'm going to survive that Sat night.
Cocker's got his work cut out for him.

outerspacextrapnel  said about 2 months ago:

It'll have to be a greatest hits set or it'll be Bob Log all over again.

mrmagoo  said about 2 months ago:

Jarvis Cocker is in the wrong wrong place there

tangy_zizzle  said about 2 months ago:

I think it's just about perfect!

it's kinda fucked that this is the bracket i'm looking most forward to. look at those fucking times!

Where would you put him? I also think it's perfect!

Ash-showoff  said about 2 months ago:

Why? is very early.... Yeah, I would have thought they'd be on later than that.

Before Paul Kelly or Heavy Trash

that saturday arvo run has more often than not had that situation.

tangy_zizzle  said about 2 months ago:

I love the saturday afternoon for good music - it's the one time it's easy to soak it all in without distraction I reckon.

mrmagoo  said about 2 months ago:

echoing other thoughts here as well, wish i had've got a ticket to this!!

anonymous  said about 2 months ago:

except for the trap of going to hard too soon

Ash-showoff  said about 2 months ago:

Tangy_Zizzle. Word!

Nice time for a cheeky beer, food, good tunes and good times!

Ash-showoff  said about 2 months ago:

Good to see Kid Sam on nice n' early... I'm not convinced they're much chop live BUT i haven't seen them for a while.

Ash-showoff  said about 2 months ago:

Kid Sam - nice breakfast music.

josejones  said about 2 months ago:

that 11am slot is almost like the ''next big thing'' hour. Over the past few years it's been Eddy Current, Snowman, The Devastations and Tame Impala.

Ash-showoff  said about 2 months ago:

Yeah I guess it is.

Early Saturday morning was also the best last year, had Final Fantasy, Mountains in the Sky, Mountain Goats, The Bronx and Saul Williams all in a row.

Though really looking forward from Paul Kelly onwards this year.

hyperfuzz  said about 2 months ago:

well, he has headlined glasto twice.

blake3030  said about 2 months ago:

Don't see why that isn't a perfect slot for Jarvis.

steveholt  said about 2 months ago:

Playing no Pulp songs going by recent set lists though. Solo albums not exactly well recieved.

anonymous  said about 2 months ago:

he'll probably realise its a festival.

did a good festival set at v-fest a few years back?

annehelena  said about 2 months ago:

I think he did mostly solo stuff at V-Fest. I'd never heard any of it and I thought it was one of the best sets of the day. He's a natural performer, no matter what he sings.

Modi  said about 2 months ago:

He'll surely play a festival set, he's not a Gallagfher.

The f is for fucken.

I'd have swapped Eddy Cuz with dacios.

fakeplasticme  said about 2 months ago:

I hated Jarvis' first album but love his new one. Go figure.

Saw him at V Festival a couple of years back and was underwhelmed, look forward to catching the new tunes at Meredith though.

I am Morris  said about 2 months ago:

He's never ever ever done a Pulp song. He doesn't need to. It would be nice, sure. But not vital for it to be a hell awesome set.

Modi  said about 2 months ago:

I suppose eddy Cuz are more likely to be able to stand up at that time though.

No offence, Dackers.

jeebee  said about 2 months ago:

the late time slot for Yacht will probably be amazing...then Tim Sweeney! enjoy, meredith-goers...

I am Morris  said about 2 months ago:

Haven't seen Yacht since 2007 I think it was? Bar Broadway + Manning Bar.

Does he still do all the audience participation stuff?

Ash-showoff  said about 2 months ago:

The tune 'Pilchard' on the new Cocker LP, very fine.

bigdaddykane  said about 2 months ago:

Can Friday be a pill free night?

registradus  said about 2 months ago:

Didn't I already see Eddy Current at Meredith at 12am a couple of years ago?

blake3030  said about 2 months ago:

Was the Friday night around 10-11pm, I think.
