Dirty Three Announce More Dates

Related: Dirty Three.
The Dirty Three will embark on their first tour in almost four years in January. In addition to previously confirmed stints at Melbourne’s Laneway, the Sydney Festival and Perth International Arts Festival, the trio will perform club shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. They are also confirmed for the MoNA/FOMA Festival at the Moorilla Winery in Hobart on January 23.
But with no new album on the horizons, fans will have to be content with a “greatest hits” set or in the case of Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane, a full rendering of 1999 opus Ocean Songs.
Violist Warren Ellis said the band are in “showroom condition” following a recent tour of the US. “We don't have any new songs but we will gladly play the hits and the one's that got away,” he said. “On a good day there's nothing quite like us on the stage. And you can quote me on that!” Will do, Waz. Thanks.
