Dappled To Cook On The Fly

It’s been quite the year for Dappled Cities. Hobnobbing with Sir Richard Branson at the re-launch of Sydney’s Metro Theatre (see photo evidence right), an acclaimed third album in Zounds, a first-time ARIA nomination and a couple AIR Award nods. But one solitary honour has eluded them until now: an appearance on daytime TV.
According to reports over at Pedestrian.TV, Dappled’s Tim Derricourt and Alex Moore will appear on Ready Steady Cook on December 9, 2pm, on Network Ten. Hosted by Peter Everett (not the footy player), the show pairs amateur cooks with celebrity chefs such as Manu Feildel, Jacqui Gowan and Alastair McLeod. So what are the pair cooking up? According to a recent tweet, Derricourt’s trying his hand at a “delicious” squid salad, while Moore has gone south of the (US) border with some jalapeno poppers.
Their appearance on Ready Steady Cook follows a stint on the Disney Channel’s Alphabreaks earlier this year. Enough for a Logie, surely?

He's saying 'ah' a whole lot! Nice smile though.
Did that dweeby host guy just say there aren't a lot of venues for bands to ''display'' their music?
Host is pretty camp and awkward. Derricourt's eyebrows are the true star of the show!

Alex is pretty awkward too!
Host: ''Are you in love?''
Alex: ''Um... I've got a girlfriend.''
