New LP For Legends

News posted Tuesday, October 6 2009 at 11:00 AM.
Related: Legends Of Motorsport.

Melbourne’s Legends of Motorsport will release their second full-length album (third if you count the 1997 CD-R release Parking Like a Fuckhead) on November 7 on Low Transit Industries.

Dubbed Yeah Uh Huh, it was recorded over three sessions: at A Secret Place with sometime stand-in guitarist Paul Maybury (Rocket Science); at Headgap Studios with Sloth, who recorded the band’s debut self-titled EP in 2002; and finally at Toyland with Jason PC of Bloodduster and new drummer Hertz Van Rental (Warped, Johnny Casino, Palenecks). It features such punk-fuelled gems as ‘Wake Up Fuck’ and ‘Freedom’.

Originally from Tasmania, Legends’ ever-evolving line-up has, at various times, featured “all kinds of rock illuminati” from bands such as Bloodduster, The Meanies and Rocket Science. They will launch the album at the Northcote Social Club in their adopted home of Melbourne on November 7 with The Dacios.

I'm racking my brain to remember the name of the contemporary artist who took that photo. I'm sure I've seen it in books or at an exhibition.

Ben  said about 2 years ago:

yeah.. he was here for Experimenta (I think). Legends forked out a bit of cash for it's use. Well worth it tho

FrankieTeardrop  said about 2 years ago:

It's not an Anreas Gursky, is it? Someone similar though.
