Cloud Control will hit the road with Leader Cheetah for a co-headline east-coast tour in November/December.
Kicking off on November 6 in Adelaide, the “East Coast Smackdown Tour” will see both band bands flogging some tasty merch: Cloud Control has a new single out called ‘Gold Canary’, while Leader Cheetah has recently pressed acclaimed debut The Sunspot Letters on vinyl.
The follow-up to last year’s infectious 'Death Cloud', 'Gold Canary' is the first taste from Cloud Control’s forthcoming debut album, due out on Ivy League Records in early 2010. And if it’s any indication, the album is set to have a distinct Upper West Side Soweto vibe.
Meanwhile, Leader Cheetah have released The Sunspot Letters on limited-edition green wax vinyl (250 copies). The vinyl has alternate artwork to the CD release and also comes with a bonus 7” with three unreleased album outtakes: 'Grass Castles', 'Folk Song' and 'White Eagle Inheritance', which will be streamed exclusively with next week’s M+N newsletter. The shows will mark Leader Cheetah’s last tour of the year before they head into the studio to record their second album.
