Music criticism variety show Dancing About Architecture will return to the air next month. The program, which premiered on Melbourne community TV station C31 earlier this year, will make its season two debut on October 8, 8.30pm. It will feature nine hour-long shows hosted by Clem Bastow and co-helmed by Tim Finney and Mia Timpano. M+N contributor and Age senior writer Chris Johnston also returns with his "live action" version of long-running column The Crate … Grunge icons Tumbleweed have added a Melbourne show to their handful of comeback gigs this year. Prior to their Meredith bow, Wollongong’s finest will perform at the Hi-Fi Bar on December 10. It’s their first show with their original line-up in Melbourne in 15 years, although an underage M+N watched a different incarnation support You Am I at an all-ages show at the Hi-Fi in 1998. Tickets on sale September 28 … Face the Music – Melbourne’s only music industry conference – is offering six $300 regional scholarships, including three places for indigenous artists or managers, to help attend the event.
