Falls Festival Second Round

The second round of acts for December’s Falls Festival has been announced. And if you were left decidedly underwhelmed by the first announcement, there’s little here that’ll make you shell out the $500-odd eBay clams needed to attend the sold-out event.
There are, however, a few local bright spots including Dappled Cities, Little Red, Washington, Bertie Blackman, Wagons, Oh Mercy, Jordie Lane and Kid Sam. They will join the recently announced Datarock, Wolfmother and Jamie T, as well as the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Grizzly Bear and Moby at the event over New Year’s in Lorne, Victoria, and Marion Bay, Tassie. In other Falls-related news, sister festival Sunset Sounds (January 6-7 at Brisbane’s Botanical and City Gardens) have announced their second line-up (see below). Tickets for the event go on sale on September 24, 9am, via www.ticketmaster.com.au.
