Related: Bob Evans, Lost Valentinos, Valentinos, Albert's Music, Keith Urban.
In one of the most unlikely support pairings since U2 and Kanye, Bob Evans will support Keith Urban on his upcoming national tour. The marginally more interesting alter-ego of Jebediah frontman Kevin Mitchell will support Urban on all legs of his “Escape Together World Tour”, which begins on December 12 at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena. Evans’ latest single, ‘Hand Me Downs’, is currently doing the radio rounds. It features a cover of Lily Allen’s whingey ballad ‘Not Fair’ … Sydney fashionistas Lost Valentinos (pictured) have announced the winner of their “Cities of Gold” competition, which offered fans the chance to visit Peru and discover the inspiration behind their latest album, also dubbed Cities of Gold. Gerardo Balcon and his son will spend six days exploring the trails of the ancient Incas in remote Peru, presumably while listening to Cities of Gold on their iPod Touch. The album was produced by Ewan Pearson (The Rapture, M83) and recorded in Berlin, London and Sydney. It’s out now on etcetc … Iconic Sydney recording studio Albert’s Music is currently looking for a full-time studio assistant. But prospective applicants take note: in addition to having excellent Pro Tools skills, you must also be prepared to work on reception for a “couple of hours every day”. I'd say the diference between U2 and Kanye is a canyon compared to the pavement crack between Keith and Bob. kevin mitchell can fuck off and die.
