I Heart Hiroshima will release their second album The Rip on October 2. The follow-up to their 2007 debut Tuff Teef, the album was recorded in Runcorn in their native Queensland, before the trio ventured off to the UK to mix with Gang of Four’s Andy Gill.
After playing a string of dates with Japan’s Shonen Knife, as well as a stint on the main stage at the Sounds of Spring festival in Brisbane, the band will embark on a national album tour. The tour begins with an “Oktoberfest” show at the University of New South Wales on October 15.
Sydney four-piece Songs, who recently sat down with us for a chat, will support most of the shows.
