Despite an appearance by Xavier Rudd, the Lorne leg of this year’s Falls Festival has sold out. Most of the 16,000 tickets were allocated in the ballot to “genuine Falls lovers”, with the remainder being snapped up on general release earlier this week. Tickets to the Marion Bay event are still available but selling fast. The second announcement is due on September 17 … Everyone’s favourite glass-muncher Justice Yeldham (aka sound artist Lucas Abela) is about to smash through Europe once more. The maverick musician, who turns shards of glass into experimental noise, will embark on a two-month European sojourn in September. The tour will include stints at the Incubate and TodaysArt festivals in The Netherlands. To warm up for the shows, Yeldham will perform at Dirty Shirlows in Sydney tomorrow (September 11) and at Horse Bazaar in Melbourne on September 16. European tour dates here … Melbourne’s Faux Pas (aka Tim Shiel) is an unexpected inclusion on Ministry of Sound’s recently released Chillout Sessions 12. His remix of Paul Dempsey’s ‘Ramona Was A Waitress’ is included on the compilation which also features Tame Impala, Temper Trap and Bertie Blackman. In other Faux Pas-related news, the Melbourne knob twiddler is currently putting the finishing touches on a new album with renowned producer Franc Tétaz.
