Meredith Music Festival Sells Out

As if it wasn’t obvious by the lines snaking around Polyester Music in Melbourne’s Brunswick Street earlier this week, the 19th annual Meredith Music Festival has officially sold out.
Demand for tickets was reportedly higher than at any time in the festival’s history with staff on hand to deliver coffee and muffins to bleary-eyed ticket-seekers, some of whom had camped overnight. Organisers have also confirmed that the subscriber ballot system has ensured the “great majority” of tickets have gone into the hands of regular Meredith-goers.
A second round of acts will be announced over the coming weeks.

anybody stupid enough to pay 800 bucks for a meredith ticket at this point in the game probably deserves the $550 punishment.
it would be great if meredith could somehow find a way to purchase the tickets and dupe the sellers out of their money, leaving them high and dry.
