You Am I Announce National Tour

Tim Rogers may be turning 40 at the end of this month, but he shows no signs of slowing down. The iconic singer-songwriter will rally his You Am I bandmates for a short run of “intimate” cross-country shows in October and November.

The tour kicks off in Freo, heads to Adelaide, before venturing to Melbourne for the band’s traditional Cup eve show at the Prince. The band will then play two dates in Queensland – in Cairns and Brisbane – before winding things up at the Annandale in Sydney in mid-November.

It’ll be the last chance to catch You Am I live before they hole up in the studio to begin work on their next record, the follow-up to last year’s acclaimed Dilettantes. The band promise different set-lists each night including new material.

Supports include The Kill Devil Hills in WA and Johnny Casino, Super Wild Horses and The Bowerbirds in Victoria..

Was the little guy playing with Barnsy recently, I saw some bull shit day time live on a tv show thing, and it looked like the little guy from You A M playing.

Has modi joined the band? That dude next to that hipster St Kilda drunk bears more than passing resemblance to him.

Indeed. Many have tried, few even get close to succeeding.

Does anyone know if any YAI albums are getable on vinyl?

jasmine.po  said about 2 years ago:

Why do I find this band so unappealing and boring and all-been-done-before, when everyone else seems to love 'em?

Only Dress Me Slowly. Might have a spare, unplayed copy of this if anyone's interested...
