The Basics Set For Album #3

The Basics will release their third LP, Keep Your Friends Close, on September 25. And if their recent slew of singles are anything to go by, it’s set to continue their departure from their retroactive past.
The album was written in the heart of the Australian outback, recorded in the band's Northcote studio and mixed at Abbey Road in London by Peter Cobbin, who is mostly known for his remix and soundtrack work (epic!). It features watershed single ‘With This Ship’, which finally saw them break their triple j hoodoo, and current radio favourite ‘The No. 1 Cause of Death Amongst Youth Today’.
To celebrate “this momentous occasion in their career” (ie. the album’s release), The Basics will embark on a national tour in November, but not before they head to London and Dublin, where they have amassed a “large and loyal fanbase”. Ginger pride!
