Ex-Red Rider Adrian Deutsch will gear up for the launch of his debut solo disc Help You! with a performance at The Hopetoun in Sydney on September 4. Deutsch will preview songs from the album including new single ‘The Partisan’, which is currently doing the community and youth radio rounds. The show is in support of quirky pianist Andy Bull, who recently released a debut album of his own, We’re Too Young … Sydney’s Annandale Hotel will pay tribute to the late Dean Turner with a memorial show tomorrow (August 28) at 6.30pm. The Hard-Ons, Front End Loader and Peabody are among the acts performing. Matt and Dan Rule from the Annandale said proceeds from the show will go to Turner’s wife Linda and his two young daughters. “In memory of Dean and the friendship he and the rest of the band have always shown the Annandale, we would like to try and help out in the best way we know,” the pair said in a release.
