Ed Kuepper and the Kowalski Collective, Tim Finn, Even and Whitley will perform at the Queenscliff Music Festival in November. Now in its 13th year, the festival will take place over the last weekend of November (27-29) and will culminate with a tribute to little-known UK rock band The Rolling Stones. Several ticket packages are available from the festival’s website … Despite last year’s killer worm scare, the Falls Festival will be going ahead as planned in both Lorne, Victoria, and Marion Bay, Tasmania, over three days from December 29. More than 60 acts are scheduled to perform including The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Moby and Grizzly Bear. As for local acts, it’s The Temper Trap (yep, they’re back), Sarah Blasko, Art Vs Science, The Hilltop Hoods, Midnight Juggernauts, Philadelphia Grand Jury, Yves Klein Blue and the John Steel Singers. Oh, and Xavier Rudd. Camping is free, but BYO is strictly banned. You can get more info here … After the sold-out success of last year’s inaugural event, Fall’s little sister Sunset Sounds returns for another year. It’ll run from January 6-7 at Brisbane’s Botanical and City Gardens with pretty much the same line-up as Falls give or take a few acts. For a full line-up click here … Lastly but not leastly (see what we did there?), Pyramid Rock will once again go head-to-head with Falls when it invades Phillip Island, Victoria, over the last weekend of the year (December 29-January 1). Tickets go on sale on September 3, 9am. Updates and more info here.
