Vic Hotel Fundraiser

A motley crew of artists will throw a nine-way shindig to ensure their favourite pub gets a shiny new PA.
Despite a recent revamp and change of ownership (Gin, a former employee of A Minor Place, has taken the reins), the Victoria Hotel in Brunswick, though resplendent in “grandmotherly chic”, is lacking the one thing that truly counts in this neck of the woods: live music. Enter The Boat People’s Robin Waters (has he relocated to Melbourne?), who has cobbled together a formidable line-up of bands for a fundraiser on August 22.
The bill includes Ned Collette, Karl Smith (Lee Memorial, ex-Sodastream), Ship’s Piano, James And Robin (half of The Boat People), Julez, Baby Brain, Peter Dickybird, Le Gogo Seurs and D. Rogers. There’ll also be prizes up for grabs including original artwork by maxdesignandshit, whose paste-ups grace the Vic exterior.
Cost: $10.

I got really excited when I thought the pictures of the dogs in avatar form were cricketeers.
Fuck
I really hope this is successful and The Vic gets live music happening again. It was such a great venue there for a while a few years ago when Kirsty Stegwazi was booking the bands. Too bad the old owners ran it into the ground. Brunswick needs more cool venues!
What's the address of this place again?
I thought they were cricketers too, Rat.
More live music = good.
Tonight! This arvo! Starts 4pm, with some more acts now added too...
