Blasko Goes Gold

Related: Sarah Blasko.
Mere weeks after landing a coveted M+N “On Rotation”, Sarah Blasko’s third album, As Day Follows Night, has gone gold (35,000 copies). A coincidence? You do the maths.
Recorded in Sweden with producer Björn Yttling of Peter, Björn and John fame, the album currently sits at number 13 on the ARIA chart after peaking at five in the first week of its release. Still, it has some way to go before attaining the success of its predecessors. Both The Overture & the Underscore (2004) and What The Sea Wants, The Sea Will Have (2006) have gone platinum.
The Sydney singer-songwriter will depart for Europe this week, where she’s scheduled to perform shows in Sweden (two of which with Pikelet), Denmark and London. Blasko will return to Australia for a national tour in October with a seven-piece band. But if you were thinking of catching one of her four shows at The Quarry in Perth, think again. They’re all sold out.

She looks chuffed!
How many sales equals gold these days?
I like these lovely photos by Cybele Malinowski
Jeez, poplar in Perth. I'll just jump the fence and gaze longingly into those beautiful eyes.
35,000. it's in the article now.
Ha! awesome new photos! check out those chicks!
Maybe she can afford to buy some food and eat something now.
Modi, what a silly comment.
Sarah looks fine. I hate this backlash against skinny people. Being skinny is healthier and looks better than being fat.
Agreed - great photo shoot.
The photo attached to the article, she looks pale, sallow and unhealthy.
But if you say it's silly to feel concern for people, so be it.
Still, I find her music boring... the female Josh Pyke
spinster chic!
That made lol.
35000 sales or units in shops?
units in shops, its always units in shops.
I think i'll wait for the Library to get this in then burn it
if my local library gets this cd then i'm torching the place too
She's not that skinny and she's hot. Don't like her music and don't give a shit, but to say she needs to eat something.......lame modi
her music is boring but would indeed like to see her naked
This record gets a massive wrap from Robert Forster in the new issue of The Monthly - review closes with ''Give her the ARIA now''.
the new record is great. and i haven't liked any of her other ones.
i wish the Cinema Blasko disc was full length.
now we are here in Xanadu!
its a record that just goes right into your guts.
beautiful, beautiful thing.
I miss the synths of the last album. This release, for me, is less interesting.
One of the lamest things you've posted round these parts Modi - she's healthy and beautiful. Really dude.
heard her on MMM
really sexy voice. but the production was all percussion on the song I heard and very indie. Nearly there. perhaps a new producer to really push her mainstream. but they want her. and what she has to offer.
I dispute that. I post lamer things than that on a daily basis.
Not my fault you've all got concentration camp fetishes.
Off to the silly corner Modi.
Hah, Modi is on fire.
modi is a sick carnt
well said
