New Electric Jellyfish EP

A friendship forged in the deep south provided the spark for the new Electric Jellyfish EP, Dogman Hill Blues. The release features experimental Electric Jellyfish home recordings juxtaposed with those of Pony Bones, a “banjo-wielding eccentric” who the band met during a recent US tour.

Dogman Hill Blues will be launched on a seven-date tour that kicks off in Geelong tomorrow (July 30). After the tour ends in September, the band will head into the studio to record their debut LP.

so the format determines whether you're going to listen to the music?

Great!

Mind you, it'll be pretty tough for them to top Michael's solo album. Oh man, that thing's amazing.

timmydodgers  said about 2 years ago:

hi shaun: if you read the message that's not what i said. but information is why i come to mess and noise and they should know if they are posting it (across the board, previoulsy I've wondered why MN always says LP if they mean CD).

and YES. format does determine whether i buy the music. I HATE CDS and digital is normally overpriced. I'd rather not bother - there's plenty of other music out there. most of the time. after Blood Courses I'd probably buy a f'n C90 of Electric Jellyfish. But hey. Again. Is it hard just to say this EP is on a CD-r available from (x) on the (x)/ August????

Pretty please?

Oh and yes as above, JRB is on the money. Blood Courses - was listening yesterday and WOW. Just wow. Timeless.

McGauz  said about 2 years ago:

can you play another show after Sept 10 when I'm back in Melb please?

Gorn  said about 2 years ago:

Next Melb one probably not til November, at least. Bring me back some fried chicken McGauz?

Gorn  said about 2 years ago:

Oh and we totally broke up Treetops (II?) by booking them in Ballarat.

McGauz  said about 2 years ago:

really? the pressure of playing a gig too much?

dude, not sure if you read my facebook message, but I went to Amy Ruth's in Harlem today like you suggested... DAMN good food :) You didn't mean the fried chicken ON the waffles did you? That was too weird for me. But I did try fried chicken sandwich, and a waffle with stewed apples. God damn.

Gorn  said about 2 years ago:

Think the road trip and country atmosphere escalated some pre-existing band tensions that culminated on stage! Wild show!

Yeah man the waffle right on top of the waffles smothered with syrup! Sure what you had was awesome too though.
