Temper Trap Go Down ‘Particularly Well’ At Glastonbury

Another day, another The Temper Trap story. If it seems like just yesterday The Temper Trap were just another bunch of dudes in nice threads at St Jeromes shooting the shit over longnecks of Melbourne Bitter, heads up. Here’s what they actually did a few days ago – they played mega-festival Glastonbury.

The usually intemperate heads at UK rock bible New Musical Express were there and have a short, positive review of the band’s performance. The Temper Trap scored a Saturday slot on the John Peel Stage, sharing the space with other highly-touted hot young things Passion Pit and Florence and the Machine.

The NME somehow restrained their patented paroxysms of love and loathing to simply report that the band ‘clearly enjoy(ed) themselves’ and ‘went down particularly well with the packed tent’. In fact, the band were rocking so hard during hit single ‘Sweet Disposition’ that ‘several fans towards the front of the stage threw their hands in the air and danced along with the band’. Singer Dougie even abandoned his guitar and sung with his hands clasped behind his back. Rock shows are just bacchanalian orgies of fun, aren’t they NME ?

In other Temper Trap news, the band continue their attack on the UK by joining the line-up of the iTunes live festival as well as a whole bunch of European dates for the next few months.

You mean that a few people danced at a gig? Wow. No way!!!

Today must be a slow news day.

It's a quote from the NME review, timewaster.

I think it's funny that NME has taken to reporting on live events with the register of an objective hard news story.

Rock n roll = serious business.

''This is our first time here, so thanks for having us!'' Mandagi said to the audience part-way through the set.

Do any of the shots reveal Dougy's balls?
