Brisbane Duo Bound For Europe

Brisbane experimental duo Axxonn – Ian Rogers (ex-Iron On) and Tom Hall (Secret Birds, TRIAD) – will embark on a 25-date European tour next month.

The tour will include a performance at Bristol’s Cube Theatre; a showcase at London’s The Goodship, where the likes of Fuck Buttons cut their teeth; and shows in Italy, Berlin and the Netherlands including a stint at well-known Rotterdam venue WORM. Full dates here.

Before they head off, Axxonn will perform a farewell show/fundraiser at Step Inn in their native Brisbane on July 10 with supports from Heil Spirits, Monster Monster, Saint Surly and Heart Flew Like An Arrow. The show will double as the launch of a tour EP Masters Of The Epic Day.

Hello.

We're playing Rics this saturday night w/ Cougar Flashy and my other band (No Anchor).

No Anchor is another band and lives in another universe - one where wizards are real. We'll probably be active again Oct/Nov too. We have a few comp tracks and a split seven about to drop.

AXXONN will almost definitely be in Sydney in September...we're in the running to do some stuff in Newcastle for Sound Summit so if that comes off, we'll be in the hood.

Melbs might be a while coming. Tom is off to the US for the rest of the year. But I really wanna tour my solo laptop/synth stuff (and I'll be warmed up, AC has a bunch of shows in the UK/Euro as well) so I might come and do some solo stuff while he's away...mainly so I can drink some beers and see everyone.

oort  said about 1 year ago:

Isn't this band called Iron On?

oort  said about 1 year ago:

have fun ian

Ambrose Chapel  said about 1 year ago:

Apparently I can't be in a band that doesn't have the letters O and N next to each other in the name - that's what a friend told me. I didn't notice up until then. I've noticed now and all my future projects will extra-fruity names like Ambrose Chapel and Crapsniffer and Bong Jovi.
