Creative Sydney, an inaugural festival celebrating the city's artistic talents, will culminate with a night of Sydney-centric songs next week.
Spod, Davey Graney, Ratcat’s Simon Day and members of Dappled Cities, Bridezilla and theredsunband will rework and reinterpret songs about Sydney at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Circular Quay on June 12. They will be backed by an all-star house band featuring Lindsay McDougall (Frenzal Rhomb), Cec Condon (The Mess Hall), Sam Worrad (The Holy Soul) and Cameron Bruce (Waikiki, The Beautiful Girls).
The night will open with a set by three generations of Sydney performers, all from one family: Bridezilla’s Holiday Sidewinder, her mother Loene Carmen and grandfather, well-known entertainer Peter Head. The trio will sing Head’s ‘King of the Cross’ (about notorious underworld figure Abe Saffron) and ‘William St Blues’.

This is going to be sweet! I've already registered, Goldy.. i'd do it just incase, i don't know how strict they are after a certain time but all attendees have to have their names ticked off before they can enter the main room of the MCA.
