One tall, arrogant chump right there.
kool, he's coming to perth. hopefully there will be at least 50 people present.
first post is a classic... Clap, clap, clap, dickhead.
He's too tall.
He should undergo reconstructive surgery, involving the removal of his shins.
grogblog: I'm definitely a dickhead. Doesn't make me wrong, though.
Male solo artists generally are arrogant chumps.
However, I have not met Jack Ladder or seen him do a gig. So I am not bagging him out personally in any way.
i don't get it. is it the tim rogers under a pseudonym bob evans style or some dude that changed his name cos it was the same as tim rogers? please make reference to the photo in your answer. thanks
i don't like him, but 01010101 does.
No, JL's real name is Tim Rogers.
The latter which actually makes the article erroneous because as an artist he has never been known as Tim Rogers.
ah right, ta. i was wondering what plastic surgery t. rogers had had since Friday night!
Overlook the arrogance. Don't overlook the talent.
Back in my day, news articles were written to inform people. Nowadays it seems articles are only written for people who already know the story.
Great songs, pure and simple.
In the pre-mono era perhaps. We should call this place punditsville.
I just got a facebook invite to the tour. Now from my recollection every piece of promo up to and including to the present one has consisted of a photo of his noggin looking pained, miserable or distracted. I know this shit flew in the old days with Lenny Cohen et al - and even he managed a wry grin in most - but, shit, get a new photographer or a copy of hustler to take into the men's room pre-shoot (pun unended) or something!
His band on this tour is amazing. Go see him... you won't regret it. I don't have the pleasure of saying this very often - the guy on lead guitar is incredible. It was the best set I've seen since Rowland at the Sydney ATP
springrain is right-i have seen him live and it is well worth it.
also, i interviewed him for work a few wks ago-it's quite a good interview if you want me to post it...
SpringRain,
The 'guy on lead guitar' is Kirin Callinan, formerly of Mercy Arms.
Kirin, stop playing shows with that moody giraffe and record your solo album.

thanks, didn't catch his name. he played solo before kid sam and he was ok. there were some pretty great sounds, but i wasn't digging the vocals all that much. but yeah, he certainly had his moments. but when he got up with ladder and co he was on fire. the guitar seemed to smack you in the face. it was great. i thought his style suited the more upbeat fun grooves of ladder's songs better
Who is the rhythm section this tour? Last time I saw him he had the dude from Pivot playing drums and some gun bass player. It was great.
the rhythm section is Lawrence Pike and Donny Benet
with Kirin Callinan on guitarz
yeah lawrence pike's still with him. didn't know the bass player
whatever
Did anyone see the Jack Ladder clip on rage this morning? I've never been much of a fan of this guy but this song (and the clip) were fantastic. Sort of like Television meets James White. V cool.
