M+N Presents Aleks And The Ramps

Related: Aleks And The Ramps.
Following a three-date “micro-tour” in support of their new single ‘Antique Limb’, Aleks and The Ramps are about to embark on a fully fledged, M+N endorsed album tour.
The band will launch their second LP Midnight Believer in Newcastle, Sydney, Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne and Adelaide over three weeks in June-July. And to coincide with its release on Stomp this weekend, we’ll be streaming the album in full tomorrow. Yes, that’s right. Midnight Believer here. Tomorrow. For one day only. The album stream will be accompanied by a track-by-track guide by Aleks himself.
Supporting all legs of the tour is Montreal’s Mixolydian, an electro/indie project consisting of a guy called Mike and a revolving cast of humans, Gameboys, samplers and backing tracks.“On this particular tour, he'll be playing some songs solo, and some with a backing band, which is us,” says Aleks. “We're just learning his songs now.”

confusing!
... but true.

also, wouldn't be aleks and the ramps if it wasn't confusing.
there's nothing confusing about the new LP. it's fuckin' awesome.
i always get confused that the main strip in the valley is called Brunswick st. what is this? Melbourne!?
Can Mess and Noise endorse me?
HOW EXCITING!
I'll be in Sydney for the Sydney gig (obvs) and (hopefully) in Melbs for the Melbs gig!
bring them to canberra, mono.
im gonna just start putting 'endorsed by M+N' on all my ideas. WHO's gonna stop me?
the man in the white house? I dont think so!
we're happy to endorse any ideas -- as long as they're good.
that's cos its the black house now.
ok jose. what do you think of a this idea.....
WORLD PEACE
endorse?
Perth fucken!
How would you endorse a journalist going along to document the ride?
I endorse this thread.
Can i come too
with complementary snacks?
(that was directed at AH)
Sure, why not?
Although I'd prefer complimentary snacks - cheese and biscuit saying it thinks I look hot!
RAMPS IN FUCKIN' NEWCASTLE. SHIT YEAH! and then maybe a sydney road trip two days later. too excited.
COMPLIMENTARY! whoops ... it's been a long day..
Hahaha - oh, ed!
Man, new album is AWESOME!! As is the news of this tour.
They’re playing in the RRR performance space this Monday night for a live to air set during Wig Wam Bam. If you want to grab a free double pass, buy the album from www.chaos.com before Monday and your name will be on the door. Pretty sweet deal.
enough aleks and the fucking ramps already!
Bit heavy.
Bad coding doesn't help ...
Good to see they're playing somewhere in Brisbane that isn't Ric's this time.
Umm, is this still with Je Suis Animal?
enough aleks and the fucking ramps already!
pfft shut up adam!
NOT HEAVY ENOUGH
first tastes sound good. not what i expected. better than i expected actually - more resolved.
but i am frustrated with this listening experience because my connection keeps dropping out. boo.

astralwerkor: tried to get perth happening, no venues had dates we could do. so we gave up, but we'll probably be there before the end of the year.
basil seal: tried to book something in canberra, but despite the fact that two us are from canberra, couldn't get anything happening. toast is closed, the front is too small for us and all our shit, the guy that books transit has camel poo instead of brains.....
eldritch: yep.
Great combination of Ramps and Peter Escott. That guy deserves way more attention. That Hobart show will be a cracker too; Paint Your Golden Face were awesome last time I caught them.
Ah well, good to hear you'll make it soon. :)
ramps - check with alps for the newie show. i think that extreme wheeze has his contacts, but if not, just send me a line and i can track them down for you.
get Polyfox on the newie show!
thanks dudes. checked with alps..... waiting game.
yeah peter escott rules so freaking much, i don't think anyone in melbs really knows his stuff.
spoke to him tonight and told him about the show. he is maybe keen. has a gig the night before, but is keen to make up some flyers and things and hand them out at that show. could work.
sweet news. :)
It's 5am. I'm listening to PvA.
I can't wait for this weekend!
I'd like to go to this, but I'm gonna be at the Annandale seeing Deerhunter. Sorry dudes.
It will be sweet.
Are Aleks and the Ramps headlining?
Probably... unless Popfrenzy or someone are promoting Je Suis Animal, which I don't think they are?
oh woah this is this Saturday.
I won't be at Deerhunter, I'll be drumming for AATR. Come say hello, buy me a shandie. I love shandies, could drink them all night long! Just be sure to go easy on the beer.
About to be on FBi!
